Information transmitted over the Internet is not completely secure, but Meddy does its best to protect the patient’s personal data. We have implemented measures designed to secure your personal data from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. We use application timeouts and encryption technology for information sent and received by us. The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Where you have chosen a password for the use of our website or application, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.
Sign-ups and invites. WWhen you sign-up to receive invitations to new and beta services, we collect your name, email address so that we can notify you when these services are available and/or ready for your use. We do not share this information with third-party advertisers or partners, as this is meant for our communication with you only.
Registration. When you register for an account as a user on the website, we ask you to provide us with information about yourself, including your name and email address. We use this information to build a member profile for you on the website and communicate with you changes on the website. We do not share this information with third parties without your permission.
Web Beacons. We may use technologies called web beacons that communicate information from your browser to our web server. Log Files. Similar to most other websites accessible via a web server, we collect and store footprints of user traffic activity in flat files called log files. This information includes Internet Protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, referring/exit pages, operating system, and date/time stamp. We use this data as aggregated information to observe and analyze trends, and subsequently to serve the website to the demographic users in a better fashion.

Third-party data sharing and marketing material
The data stored is not shared with any third party. The users who share their email addresses are sent monthly newsletters and health-related emails from Meddy. They can opt-out of the service by unsubscribing to the emails.
Data collection storage
The data is stored on Meddy’s server indefinitely, however, if a formal request from the patient is made to remove the information, all data against the patient’s name is erased immediately.

Use of third party services
A third-party API service is used for video calls which is P2P and HIPAA compliant. The calls are not recorded and any data shared via chat during the telemedicine call is erased after the call ends.
Meddy uses Stripe, which is PCI compliant. It makes all the financial transactions made through the website quick and 100% secure. The patient’s data is protected at all times.
